How to wash silk ties

Neckties are easy to get dirty after being filtered. Do not wash them in the hands and wash them in the washing machine. They should be sent to a dry cleaner and cleaned by a professional laundry technician. Otherwise, they will fade and shrink, resulting in a crumpled feeling. If it's not very dirty, you can do it yourself.

One is the wet cleaning method. The second is the dry cleaning method.

Method one

You can put the tie in warm soapy water at about 30 ℃ for 1-3 minutes, gently brush with the brush along the lines of the tie, do not brush hard, or rub it arbitrarily. After washing, rinse with 30 ℃ water clean. After that, press the ironing method as above. If the washed necktie is out of shape, the seam behind the necktie can be disassembled, the tie's fabric and interlining can be ironed flat, and then sewed as it is.

Method Two

Put the tie on a paper template, scrub with a soft brush or foam plastic with the replacement detergent, then wipe off the foam with a dry towel, and then scrub with a clean wet towel.

method one

Take a small amount of alcohol or gasoline with a cotton ball, wipe it gently to remove stains, then put a damp white cloth on it and iron with an electric iron. The temperature during ironing is determined by the material used for the tie. It can't be too high (below 70 ℃); the temperature of woolen silk can be higher (below 170 ℃).

Method Two

Dip a soft brush into a small amount of gasoline, and brush the stains along the warp and weft of the tie fabric. After the gasoline smell evaporates, wipe it with a clean wet towel several times.
