Why more and more clients choose digital printing?

Printed silk fabrics enjoy great popularity in fashion circle, such as printed silk charmeuse, silk crepe de chine and silk twill are all our best sellers. And among various types of printing methods, digital printing becomes more and more common and acceptable to us.

Why more clients prefer digital printing rather than other types, for example screen printing or foil printing? Some reasons are as below.

1. Digital printing on silk fabrics require much less MOQ. Technically, one or two rolls can be accepted as bulk orders. And what is worth mentioning mixed designs is accepted even under such small MOQ. While, screen printing requires as high as 600-800 meters per design. This is perhaps too many for some clients.

2. Digital printing requires much less sampling cost. It is usually charged based on complete designs, no matter how many colors are in the design. While, screen printing is charged on the numbers of color ways. And some “irregular” designs or those involving more than 8-10 colorways are not ideal to be printed by screen printing. When it comes to digital printing, almost all designs can be printed.

3. Shorter turn out time. For digital printing, 7-10 days for strike offs and 7-15 days for bulk production, while timing is almost doubled at screen printing,
