What are the best fabric type for scarf manufacturing?
For custom printed scarves, if you prefer a more matte fabric, we recommend our crepe de chine or silk twill. We say to opt for twill if you like a more textural or prominent weave.
If you prefer something that has more of a sheen, we recommend our crepe back satin.
If your print design features borders, we advise opting for a CDC or twill. The straight warp and weft properties of these fabrics allow us to manufacture perfectly straight scarves. With bordered artworks, the border is essentially acting as a ruler. So, any deviation in the cloth means that it will be very visible once cut and hemmed.
If you are perhaps after something softer, our cashmere modal works well for larger scarves.

Hems and seams
Our scarves can be rolled by hand or machine-hemmed. Some double-sided models are machine sewn and turned over, then closed by hand.
The choice depends on the fabric, we offer the hem style that best suits each silk type.
Twill, satin, crepe silk: rolled by hand, machine-hemmed imitation hand rolled for the open scarves. Machine hem for double-sided scarves.
Habotai 8MM: machine-hemmed or rolled by hand for the open scarves. No double-sided scarves.
Silk Mouselin: machine hem on open scarves. No double-sided scarves.

Customer questions & answers
is the fabric transparent and slippery?
No the scarf is not slippery or transparent. The scarf is extremely beautiful. I have just about every color. I own many scarves and these bu far are my favorite.By KeKe M. on May 16, 2022
It is transparent if you hold it up to the light. It is more like chiffon fabric only softer and stronger. It is not slippery like satin. I received a very light yellow print and you can see dark colors underneath. By Leslie on Apr 13, 2022
It is a See-through but not very slippery Love my scarf a lot. By Natalia on Apr 12, 2022
The silk scarves are definitely transparent, but not "slippery". They are soft, lightweight, and drapes beautifully. By T. Jackson on Apr 26, 2022
The silk isn’t slick if that’s what you are asking. It’s very lightweight but is not transparent. It’s a perfect weight for warm weather and tropical climates. I’ve bought 4 or 5 now both for myself and to give as gifts.

Beautiful silk scarf! Can you advise how many mm that is pure mulberry silk? There are so many faux silk listings, so I want to be sure.
I don't know how to determine if something is true silk other than how it feels on my skin, which is smooth and soft. And also with silk because of how thin it is it is much warmer than cotton but it also in the heat it feels cooler than a polyester or some kind of man-made textile. So my opinion is that it is truly silk. But how to make sure? I don't know, I just know I love my scarf! see lessBy Exousia Ministries Internation… on April 28, 2022
The fine print in the add and the tag on the product both say it is 100 percent silk. It certainly looks and feels like silk, smells like silk too.(sort of earthy) By Carla F Barnett on May 4, 2022
The scarf I purchased is actual silk. By Margi Peterson on April 28, 2022
We bought a blue version. It is silk and it is beautiful! By Lauren H. on April 27, 2022
I am sure it is faux at the price point.. but it is very beautiful and very long.. feels silky… By Duchess on April 28, 2022
