Here at Dana Fabrics we don’t want to play that game, so we’ve implemented a few systems in order to reduce our environmental impact. These systems include the obvious but incredibly impactful practice of printing on demand, which means we only print exactly what’s ordered, when it’s ordered, reducing overproduction and therefore potential for waste. Any textile waste that is produced is repurposed as much as possible - into rags and other fabric goods for around the factory. We were also very intentional about purchasing machines that have integrated sustainable systems, such as reduced water and energy use. All of our fabrics are OKEO-TEX certified - you can find the certifications on our fabric landing pages - and our dyes are all BLUESIGN and GOTS approved. Our sustainability goal was to develop the habit of integrating environmentally friendly practices, both simple and complex, right from the beginning.

Scarf fabrics: mainly divided into four categories: animal, plant fiber fabrics, chemical fiber fabrics and blended fabrics. 1. Animal fibers commonly used in scarves are mainly wool, cashmere and silk fabrics. 2. Common plant fiber fabrics include cotton, rayon, bamboo fiber, etc. 3. Polyester and chiffon are common chemical fiber fabrics. 4. Scarf blended fabrics are generally made of silk, cotton and linen blended in a certain proportion.

Advantages and disadvantages of scarf fabric

1. The wool fabric is comfortable and warm, and the elasticity is also very good. The scarf is easy to recover after deformation, but the phenomenon of hair loss is inevitable. 2. Wearing a cotton scarf is also very comfortable and has a good thermal effect, but it is not resistant to wear and tear. The scarf is easy to leave wrinkles, and dark-colored cotton scarves are easy to fade. 3. Hemp fabrics are more breathable but not very elastic and lack skin-friendly. 4. The biggest advantage of silk scarves is that they are beautiful and smooth, but silk fabrics generally shrink. 5. How to choose a scarf？

For our bespoke scarf manufacturing service, we have a MOQ of 20 units for every design and you can include a mixture of sizes, print designs, and artworks within this quantity.

What is your lead-time for scarf manufacturing?

We pride ourselves on our fast turnaround, from the day that everything is approved and ready to go, we will need around 4 weeks. This is the time we require to prepare the fabric type, print the fabric, cut, hem, and then send it to you. This turnaround time will vary on the size of the order, but it should never exceed 4-5 weeks.

What is the 10% fault rate for scarf orders?

Our 10% fault rate is applied to any scarf order that has panelled artworks as opposed to repeating artworks. If a fault occurs on a panel, the whole panel has to be discarded and reprinted or redone. Unlike a repeat print, where if a small fault occurs it can simply be cut around. Therefore, we will always print 10% over to cover the cost of any potential faults or marks that may arise. If your run is 100% successful, you will receive all of the extra printed panels or finished units.

What seam allowance should I leave if printing panels?

We advise you to add a 1.5cm seam allowance to each edge, so 90cm x 90cm would then become a 93cm x 93cm panel. This will ensure the scarves measure full size at 90cm x 90cm once finished.
