Two question: 1. Is the color printed on or woven in?
2. Is it machine washable?
The designs are printed onto challis wool. The designs are clear & sharp, no blurring of edges or colors & the colors are deep & bright & on the obverse slightly lighter. 1. The color and pattern are printed onto the fabric very nicely. I have the rose red and it is beautiful; even the obverse side is somewhat attractive. 2. It is printed but I still like the quality (and I am a little picky). It is essentially a light challis wool (if you know your fabrics). I have washed it in my washer on cold on the gentle cycle and hung it to dry. By MMcG on June 16, 2022
Is warm??
Yes! It is warm- but not in a heavy way. You can tell you are insulated by wool, but not in a suffocating manner. I find it the perfect weight.

It’s very warm. I purchased this scarf while I was visiting my sister in Chicago last December. It’s super warm and soft enough to wrap it around your face and shoulders. My sister loved it so much that I purchased one for her and another one for my mother!

I really hate “wool” because of the itch. Does this have that problem?
It’s does have a slight wool feel. I also hate wool but this item doesn’t bother me..

I have found these wool scarves to be very soft and non-itchy. The scarves do not have a strong wool scent. They do have the lovely wool warmth. Great product. I've made multiple purchases, all same great quality and artistry.

I absolutely adore these Dana products! One salient reason is they do not feel ‘wooly’. I’ve a phrase that might resonate with u. Regarding cashmere, I refer to ‘wooly’ as being from the ‘chin hair of an old billy goat’ as opposed to good which is from the ‘throat hair of a Himalayan kid’. Dana scarves are much more similar to the latter!!
